Tusk Award Winner 2020 – our very own John Kamanga

by SORALO / Tuesday, 26 October 2021 / Published in Stories

We are very proud that our very own Director, John Kamanga, has won what is arguably one of the most prestigious conservation awards in the world, the Tusk Award for Conservation, 2020. This award is for an individual who is judged to be an emerging leading conservationist, in recognition of their outstanding success shown in their chosen field. John’s win this year gives the community-based conservation movement a huge boost, raising awareness across the globe of the efforts and challenges communities face in their quest to maintain their culture and lifestyles (which are the major reasons for conservation value) in the face of change.
